Does greige LVP make a limestone fireplace look too gray?

Not necessarily. A warmer greige with taupe or brown grain can echo the cream and buff notes in limestone, while a cool gray plank can make warm stone appear more yellow by comparison. Review full samples beside the actual surround in the room light.

Should the LVP touch the limestone hearth?

A floating LVP installation generally needs a product specified movement space at fixed objects. The chosen flooring instructions determine the required gap and how it may be covered, so the stone edge should be planned before the floor is installed.

Can I use grout between LVP and a stone fireplace?

Rigid grout is usually not an appropriate substitute for the movement space required by a floating floor. Use the selected product instructions and a compatible finish detail so trim or sealant does not restrain the floor where movement is required.

What plank direction looks best in front of a fireplace?

There is no universal direction. Consider the room's longest sightline, the fireplace wall, the plank width, and the cuts that will occur at the hearth. A dry layout with full planks makes the visual effect and edge cuts easier to evaluate before installation.

What should I provide for a fireplace and LVP estimate?

Start with the project address, approximate room measurements, photos of the fireplace and adjoining floors, LVP and stone samples or product names, plus the fireplace make and model if available. CC Floors Austin can use that information to review the planned finished edge. Call 512-769-2292 to request a written scope review.
