Can LVP go over concrete slab?

Many LVP products are designed for concrete, but moisture conditions, flatness and manufacturer instructions must be checked first.

Does waterproof LVP mean the subfloor can get wet?

No. A waterproof plank claim does not automatically protect the building assembly or solve moisture coming through the slab. Water at walls, transitions and penetrations still requires proper detailing.

Is a thicker LVP always better?

No. Total thickness can affect feel, rigidity and acoustics, but wear layer, locking system, finish, core quality and installation conditions also matter.

Is 20 mil LVP necessary in every home?

Not necessarily. High traffic, pets and demanding use can justify a heavier wear layer, while lower-traffic rooms may perform well with less. Compare the whole product and warranty.
